Alex is a seasoned attorney with over a decade of experience in Colorado family law. He is skilled in various areas of practice, including appeals, complex relocation cases, foreign court orders, high net-worth cases, and general family law litigation. With experience advocating in both the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado trial courts, Alex is prepared for effective litigation at every level. When litigation is not the best solution, Alex’s negotiation acumen helps clients achieve their goals without the uncertainty of the courtroom. Alex’s reputation, knowledge of the law, and professional work ethic is such that he has served as an expert witness on attorney fee issues and a consultant/co-counsel on high stakes custody litigation.
After completing undergraduate studies at Birmingham-Southern College, Alex attended law school at The University of Alabama School of Law where he was a member of the Bench and Bar Honor Society and the Competition Trial Team. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2014 and was admitted to the practice of law in Colorado during the same year.
Alex has spent a significant amount of time contributing to both the bar and his community. He is the past Chairman of El Paso County Bar Foundation Gala Committee, past member of the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors, and recipient of the Brian S. Gardner Award for Outstanding Young Lawyer. Alex was selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2020 - 2024. He has given presentations and taught both as pro bono service to the community and other attorneys as a part of continuing legal education conferences. He is also a licensed Realtor. Alex resides in Breckenridge with his family.
